The Haitian National Police (PNH) reports that following a deadly counterattack against criminals from the terrorist organization "Viv Ansanm" in the commune of Kenscoff, violent clashes erupted on the night of Saturday, October 11, 2025, to Sunday, October 12, 2025.
During their retreat, the heavily armed attackers intentionally set fire to the Wynn Farm property, while making threats against Camp Zoi, located in the hills above Pétion-ville.
During the operation, several bandits were fatally injured during intense exchanges of fire with law enforcement.
Thanks to these coordinated actions, calm was restored to Kenscoff around 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
Faced with this situation, the PNH High Command immediately reinforced its operational presence in the areas with the following measures :
• Deployment of a reserve SWAT team;
• Deployment of a CIMO unit;
• Mobilization of a Task Force (TF) supported by an armored vehicle;
• Close coordination with the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ), via the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI).
Jean Massillon, Mayor of Kenscoff, stated on a radio station of the capital that terrorists are present in the communal areas of Obléon, Godet, Belot, Sourcailles, Bongars, Clemenceau, Kafou Badjo, Timiska, and Kajak. He estimates that no fewer than three of the five communal sections are controlled in whole or in part by armed men.
