Surroundings explosion

Early this morning, an explosion occurred in a family house in Surčin, where one person was present at the time. Emergency medical teams and police were immediately dispatched to the scene.
According to initial, unofficial information, the body of a man, D. M. (51), was found in the room where the explosion occurred. Preliminary investigation indicates that D. M. committed suicide by detonating a hand grenade.

The relevant prosecutor’s office has also been notified and will conduct an investigation to determine all the circumstances and the exact cause of the explosion and the man’s death.
Neighbors report that the man was alone in the house at the time of the explosion.
“The explosion was so powerful that it shook the entire neighborhood. When we arrived, the scene was horrifying,” neighbors said.
The prosecutor’s office is leading the on-site investigation and related investigative procedures.
