Four people have been rushed to hospitalwith serious injuries after they were mauled by their pet dog in Melbourne's west.
The dog attacked two men and two women inside a home on James Cook Drive in Melton around 10pm yesterday, according to police.
The dog was seized by council rangers, as was a second dog at the home.A male in his 20s was treated for mid-body injuries and taken to Western Hospital Footscray in a stable condition.A male in his late teens was treated for lower-body injuries and taken to to Sunshine Hospital in a serious but stable condition.A female in her 30s was treated for lower to mid-body injuries and taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious but stable condition.A female in her late teens was treated for lower-body to mid-body injuries and was transported to Sunshine Hospital in a serious but stable condition.The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown at this stage.Melton City Council has been contacted for comment.
