One person is dead and six others are missing after a commercial fishing vessel sank off the coast of the U.S. state of Massachusetts on Friday, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.The Coast Guard said that it has recovered a body and located debris following a search for the 72-foot fishing vessel Lily Jean which sent an emergency alert.Watchstanders received the emergency signal early Friday from the vessel, which was reported to be about 25 miles offshore near Gloucester, the Coast Guard said.Coast Guard crews launched a search operation after attempts to contact the vessel went unanswered. Search and investigation efforts are ongoing.
