One person was killed and eight others were injured on Monday in two Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon, the Lebanese health ministry reportedAccording to the ministry, one person was killed and four others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a vehicle in Ansariyah area, whereas four more were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a car in the Tyre district.Earlier in the day, Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee issued an urgent evacuation warning on social media platform X to residents of southern Lebanon, specifically in the villages of Kfar Tebnit and Ain Qana, threatening to strike Hezbollah's military infrastructure there.Later, the Israeli military announced in a statement that it struck several Hezbollah weapons storage facilities in southern Lebanon, to prevent the group's reestablishment attempts.Regarding the attack in Ansariyah, the military issued a separate statement, claiming that it was a response to Hezbollah's violations of the ceasefire agreement, and that the dead was "involved in attempts to rehabilitate Hezbollah military infrastructure."The Israeli army has carried out frequent strikes in Lebanon, claiming they are aimed at removing Hezbollah "threats," despite a ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel that has been in effect since Nov. 27, 2024.
