On Sunday, for the second consecutive day, several loud explosions were heard in the Dubai area and over Qatar's capital Doha, after Iran launched retaliatory strikes against neighboring Gulf countries in response to US and Israeli strikes on the Islamic Republic, Reuters reports citing eyewitnesses.Bahrain's Interior Ministry announced on Sunday morning that sirens had been activated."Citizens are strongly advised to remain calm and proceed to the nearest safe location," the ministry's statement reads.Israel struck Iran on the morning of February 28. US President Donald Trump also announced the launch of a US military operation against Iran. Strikes hit military facilities in western Iran, the residence of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as an elementary school in the city of Minab.In response, Iran launched missile strikes against Israel and US military bases in the region.
