Two Illinois State University students were among six people injured in an off-campus shooting in Normal early Sunday morning, police said.
Normal police said officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 700-block of Franklin Avenue around 2:40 a.m.
Responding officers found six people - two male juveniles, two men, and two women -- who had been shot. All six victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals.
The Normal Police Department and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services are collecting and processing evidence.
No arrests have been made. Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident.
What led up to the shooting was not immediately clear.
Police asked anyone with information about the shooting to contact Detective Kyle McComber at 309-433-3415 or kmccomber@normalil.gov.

The Illinois State University Police Department shared the following statement:
"We want to keep our campus community informed about an off-campus shooting that occurred early in the morning on March 22 in the Town of Normal. Illinois State University Police responded to assist Normal Police, and officers at the scene quickly determined this to be an isolated incident.
"Two of the individuals injured are Illinois State University students. Law enforcement is now focused on the ongoing investigation and supporting the victims.
"Illinois State University Police will continue to support the investigation and share updates from our partners as they become available."
