A magnitude 6.2 earthquake hit several provinces in Mindanao on Monday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
Phivolcs said the epicenter of the quake was 113 kilometers southeast of Governor Genoroso in Davao Oriental province.
Intensity 5 was felt in Governor Generoso and Jose Abad Santos in Davao Occidental. Intensity 4 was recorded in Alabel Alabel, Glan, Kiamba, and Malapatan in Sarangani Province; Koronadal City, Tampakan and Tupi in South Cotabato; General Santos City and Tacurong City in Sultan Kudarat.
Mati City in Davao Oriental, meanwhile, experienced Intensity 3, as well as Banga, Norala, Polomolok, Surallah, and T'Boli in South Cotabato.
Intensity 2 was recorded in the cities of Davao, Kidapawan and in M’lang, Matalam and President Roxas in Cotabato; Maasim and Maitum in Sarangani; Lake Sebu, Santo Niño and Tantangan in South Cotabato.
Phivolcs said there were no reports of injuries or damage to property but aftershocks were expected.
