Four people were killed and seven others injured during a clash between tribal residents and armed men in the Hanna Urak tourist area on the outskirts of Quetta on Sunday evening, Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar said.According to Kakar, one of the injured was in critical condition, and all the wounded had been shifted to the Trauma Centre for treatment. The minister said personnel from the FC, police, and other security agencies remained deployed in the area and were continuing operations against the armed assailants.The minister identified the deceased as Naqeebullah, Ashraf Khan, Daud Khan, and Gulraiz Khan.He added that residents were standing alongside the security forces and cooperating fully in the operation, while every available resource was being utilised to ensure the safe recovery of those abducted. Authorities, he said, were continuing to monitor the situation closely.
Kakar said that the Balochistan government declared an emergency at all government hospitals in Quetta to ensure they were prepared to respond to any further emergencies.A day earlier, at least eight people were killed, and a minor girl was injured in two separate incidents of firing linked to tribal disputes in Balochistan’s Qila Abdullah and Dera Bugti districts. In the first incident, four people were killed and a minor girl was injured in a firing over an old enmity in the Badwan area of Qila Abdullah district. In a separate incident in the Drenjan area of Sui in Dera Bugti district, four people were killed and one was injured in a clash between relatives over a monetary dispute.
