Firefighters responding to an explosion and fire at a vinegar production and packaging factory near Examilia, outside Corinth, on Monday found the body of an unidentified person while battling the blaze, authorities said.The Fire Service said its operations center was alerted to the incident shortly after 1.30 p.m. and immediately dispatched ground crews to the scene.A total of 35 firefighters, including a specialized foot unit from the 9th EMODE wildfire response team, 11 fire engines and volunteer firefighters, took part in the firefighting operation, which was also supported by water tankers from the Corinth municipality.Firefighting efforts were continuing.The cause of the explosion and subsequent fire was not immediately known. The Corinth arson crimes investigation unit has been tasked with determining the cause of the blaze.Authorities did not immediately release the identity of the person whose body was found.
