A major cyberattack has targeted IMCO, a key supplier to Israel’s defense industry, with Israeli media reporting that approximately 30 terabytes of data—including highly sensitive military information—were stolen in what is being described as one of the most significant cyber breaches against the country’s defense supply chain.According to Hebrew-language media outlets, including Israel Hayom and TechTime, the cyberattack compromised IMCO’s communication networks, industrial infrastructure, and data storage servers. Reports indicate that around 10 terabytes of the stolen material have been classified as highly sensitive. The reportedly compromised data includes military production blueprints, strategic contracts, and security camera footage from inside company facilities, suggesting a significant breach of the company’s cybersecurity defenses.IMCO is a major contractor for Israel’s defense sector, supplying electrical systems, battlefield computers, and smart display technologies for Merkava main battle tanks and Namer and Eitan armored vehicles. The company also plays a role in missile and air defense programs and operates a network of seven production facilities with approximately 600 employees.Reports say the scale of the breach prompted IMCO to establish a dedicated crisis management team and enlist external cybersecurity specialists to assess and contain the damage. The company has acknowledged what it described as a “serious security incident” and confirmed that an internal investigation is underway. The reported breach is widely viewed as a major cybersecurity challenge for Israel’s military-industrial supply chain.
