Bird flu has been confirmed in "a small flock" of chickens on an island in Tanum municipality, the Västra Götaland County Administrative Board announces.
The Swedish Board of Agriculture has decided on restriction zones around the affected herd since August 14.
But since it is an island, the restrictions cover a lot of water, says Jorge Pena, county veterinarian in Västra Götaland, to Bohusläningen.
