One person has been killed and more than 75 people injured following a fire at the Amur Gas Chemical Complex (AGCC) in Russia’s Amur Region.REN TV reported that the number of injured had risen to 87, while a Telegram channel close to law enforcement agencies put the figure at more than 75.The fire reportedly broke out in an auxiliary process section of the pyrolysis unit at the complex, which is still under construction.The Amur Gas Chemical Complex is a joint investment project involving Russia’s SIBUR and China’s Sinopec. Once completed, it is expected to become one of the world’s largest facilities for producing basic polymers.
