A large fire broke out near Burgas on Friday, with flames spreading through reeds and dry grass in an area near industrial sites after the Ceramics factory, close to the Rudnik district, BNT and BGNES reported.
The alarm was raised at around 1:15 p.m. Six fire trucks and 17 firefighters were dispatched to the scene to contain the blaze.
The firefighting operation is being personally coordinated by Senior Commissioner Nikolay Nikolaev, director of the Regional Directorate for Fire Safety and Population Protection in Burgas.
The fire is burning near the Geo Beton area, in the vicinity of the former Ceramics factory. Firefighters are continuing efforts to bring the flames under control and prevent the fire from spreading further.
There is currently no information about injuries or affected buildings.
