A fire broke out at a six-storey hotel in Istanbul's Bakırköy district, injuring 12 people.
The blaze started on the first floor of the hotel for an unknown reason and quickly spread to the upper floors, with flames also engulfing the building's facade, TRT Haber reported.
Firefighters evacuated seven people who had become trapped on the upper floors.
A total of 12 people were injured in the fire and received initial medical treatment in ambulances before being taken to hospital.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control and completely extinguished it after about an hour of operations.
