Four people died of dengue while 1,314 new cases were reported across Bangladesh in the 24 hours to Monday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new patients, 153 were hospitalized in Barisal division, 198 in Chittagong division, 225 in Dhaka division, 143 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 139 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 235 in Khulna division, 81 in Mymensingh division, 99 in Rajshahi division, 36 in Rangpur division and five in Sylhet division, a DGHS statement said.
With the latest deaths, the dengue death toll has risen to 121 this year, while the number of reported cases has reached 43,904.
Dengue claimed 413 lives and infected 102,861 people across the country in 2025.
In 2024, the disease killed 575 people and infected 101,214.
