A suspected gas leak has prompted an evacuation at Brisbane’s Wesley Hospital, with emergency crews responding to the incident.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said seven vehicles rushed to the scene after the incident was reported at about 8.15am an Tuesday.
Scientific crews were also called to the Auchenflower hospital as emergency services responded to reports of a hazmat incident.
Emergency services later confirmed they had attended the health facility on the corner of Chasely St and Dunmore Tce at about 9am.
“A number of people were treated at the scene for possible chemical exposure,” Queensland Police said.
“All are in a stable condition.”
Police assured there is no ongoing threat to the community.
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is investigating the incident, with police assisting.
