A fire broke out at the pharmaceutical factory of Drug International Limited in Cherag Ali area of Tongi, Gazipur, on Wednesday morning.
The fire started around 10am on Wednesday.
A total of 19 units of the Fire Service and the Civil Defence and members of Bangladesh Army have responded to the incident and are trying to control the blaze.
Talha Bin Jasim, an official of the Media Cell of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Directorate, confirmed the matter.
The cause of the fire and how it started remain unknown.
