In the evening of October 18, mass power outages occurred in the Issyk-Kul region, as reported by local residents. The outages affected the settlements of the Issyk-Kul, Tyup, and Ak-Suu districts, as well as the city of Karakol.
According to residents, the power outage happened at 19:15, and after an hour, electricity supply was restored, but it soon went out again.
The editorial team of Kaktus.media reached out for comments to NESK, where they reported that they had requested information from the Issyk-Kul PES and would provide additional details later.
According to information from NESK, an emergency situation occurred with the equipment at the "Tamga" substation, which affected the power supply to the region. The problem was recorded at 18:37, and electricity supply was restored by 19:10. However, a repeated outage occurred at 20:47, and electricity was supplied again at 21:15.
As of now (as of 22:30), power engineers are working at the "Tamga" substation, conducting necessary technical work and taking measures to identify and eliminate malfunctions. The disconnected equipment has been sent for repair.
Specialists emphasize that the situation is under control, and power engineers continue to work on addressing the consequences. NESK promises to promptly inform the public about the progress of the work and changes in the situation.
