However, it is located about 60 kilometers from the border. The farthest reported advances of Ukrainian troops, which have not been confirmed, have reached about 30 kilometers into Russia. After the Ukrainian offensive was announced, the Russian National Guard reportedly reinforced the protection of the power plant. Two reactors are being built to replace the two oldest, already decommissioned blocks of the plant. Two more reactors are currently in operation.
