Explosions were heard in temporarily occupied Mariupol (Donetsk region), where an electricity and water supply crisis continues, reported the Mariupol City Council on Friday.
"At night, a series of explosions occurred in Mariupol, and the occupation authorities claimed that Russian air defenses were active. According to the Center for the Study of Occupation, a hit and a fire were recorded at the ‘Misto-11’ electrical substation. Local residents report that electricity went out in parts of the city," reads the post on Telegram.
The city council also recalled that earlier in Mariupol, the "Myrna", "Misto-11", and "NS-2" electrical substations had already been damaged.
"Because of this, Mariupol residents have been facing disruptions in electricity and water supply for five days now. According to city residents, long lines for drinking water are forming in stores, and its price is rising almost daily. At the same time, the occupation administration is organizing water distribution points," the report states.
