11 people have died and 17 were injured following the Russian bombings last night in the capital of Ukraine and the Kiev region. The attacks caused explosions and fires in several apartment buildings and houses, causing significant damage, reports IPN.
According to the intervention teams, the bombings on Kiev caused the death of eight people and partially destroyed blocks and buildings in the Darnitki, Holosiivsk, and Solomeansk sectors, where rescuers pulled two people from the rubble.
At the same time, in the city of Borispol in the Kiev region, three people have died and eight were injured, and several houses and shops were damaged. Rescuers managed to evacuate several residents. In the Herson region, a man died after a Russian drone hit a car, which caught fire.
The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reported that the Russian army has also attacked the Odessa region, targeting civilian and energy infrastructure. According to him, the bombings have caused power outages and damaged the border crossing point with Romania, Orlovka-Isaccea. The Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Kharkov, Chernigov, Zhytomyr, Sumy, and Dnepropetrovsk regions were also attacked. The Ukrainian leader stated that among those killed in last night’s attacks was an Indian citizen.
The Ukrainian army has attacked the Leningrad region of Russia with drones, causing damage and a fire in the Ust-Luga port, according to Governor Alexandr Drozdenko. This is the largest Russian port on the Baltic Sea, through which Russia exports nearly 33 million tons of petroleum products annually. The port infrastructure in Ust-Luga has been targeted by Ukrainian drones several times over the course of the year.
