Address/Affected area(s)

Deep Cove, North Vancouver, Metro Vancouver Regional District, British Columbia

Residents of six properties in North Vancouver's Deep Cove area were ordered to evacuate Sunday evening as local officials declared a state of emergency due to flooding.
According to the District of North Vancouver, the mandatory evacuation affects six homes on Panorama Drive following a severe rainstorm that struck the region Saturday.
The District stated in a social media post that the evacuation order was issued following inspections by qualified professionals, which revealed that potential failures of private infrastructure posed imminent risks to public safety.
"The decision to declare a state of local emergency and issue a mandatory evacuation is not taken lightly," the statement said.
The affected properties include 2754, 2758, 2762, 2770, 2778, and 2780 Panorama Drive.
Residents are encouraged to seek assistance through the North Shore Emergency Management office (NSEM) for Emergency Support Services (ESS) during their temporary relocation.
A reception centre set up Saturday at the Mickey McDougall Recreation Centre for displaced Lynn Valley and Deep Cove residents has since closed, but the NSEM says residents can still request accommodation services by calling 778-651-9600.
